There is a growing need for scientific and political discussion on new inequalities and challenges for the future, such as the demographic, climate and technological changes, the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the mass forced migration following conflicts such as the current war in Ukraine. Postcolonial power relations determine who gets to define the research agenda, who receives research funding and, consequently, who gets to theorise migration knowledge. Inequalities intertwine with migration knowledge production. Inequality-related challenges are also discussed in the context of gender, ethnic and racial disparities, urban segregation, or labour market segmentation in receiving countries. Recent mobility-related debates include inequalities as developmental outcomes of migration, as an implication of social and economic remittances, and as an issue to be addressed by public policies. On a macro-scale, South-North and East-West dynamics act as migration drivers. On the micro-scale, socio-economic inequalities shape the propensity to migrate. We ask that each student submits only one paper to present at TADC. Please submit a blind copy of your paper with the application (no author and school names).

Papers for the conference are selected in a double-blind reviewing process.

If your paper is accepted and you decide to register, the conference registration fee is £90 per person this year. The deadline for paper submissions remains at February 28, 2023, at midnight GMT for Economics and Finance submissions. The deadline for paper submissions has been extended to March 7, 2023, at midnight GMT, for Management Science and Operations, Marketing, Organisational Behaviour, and Strategy and Entrepreneurship submissions.
